Thank you for considering Data Recovery Labs for
your needs!
Our evaluation procedure gives you a full
written engineers report detailing the extent of the damage and the
steps necessary to recover your data. After your signed approval
of the report we will begin data recovery efforts. If you choose
not to continue after the evaluation is completed, there is no charge
unless you would like your media returned to you.
To submit a job for standard data recovery follow these steps-
Step 1: Use the following links
to print the Authorization to Evaluate form.
(This form gives
us your permission to access the media, provides you with a
confidentiality agreement, and coordinates your evaluation schedule.)
PDF
Version (preferred) - This link will produce
the form you need in Adobe Acrobat format.
HTML Version
- This link will produce a printable web page
version of the form needed.
Step 2:
Include -
A.
Brief summary of the circumstances leading to the current state of the
defective media. (Your initial call allows us to log a quick synopsis
of your situation, but as always more information provided never
hurts.)
B. Completed
Authorization to Evaluate
form.
C. If you are using a non-standard or
rare controller it may be necessary to include the
controller in shipment. This will generally apply to Novell or MFM
clients only.
D. Payment arrangements. Company, Personal, Cashiers Check, or
Money Order as well as all major Credit Cards are welcome. Purchase
orders will only be accepted from Government and Educational
Institutions (all terms NET DUE unless otherwise approved). Wire
Transfers are also acceptable. Please contact your Customer Service
Representative for other arrangements if necessary.
Expedite Options are Available -
Your damaged media
will be evaluated within 24 to 48 hours after check-in. Expedited
evaluation (2 to 3 hours) is available at your option. Recovery
typically takes 3 to 5 days on standard systems. An expedited recovery
option will be presented depending on the outcome of evaluation. You
will find the fees associated with expedite options listed on the
Authorization to Evaluate.
Step 3:
Packaging -
Pack the media to be
evaluated in an anti-static or ESD bags, with foam blocks or bubble
wrap. PLEASE DO NOT USE 'POPCORN' FOR SHIPPING, (Popcorn
packing material tends to generate a static charge during shipping,
and does not protect your media). DO NOT use Overnight Letter
Envelopes or Soft Paks to ship Hard Disks. The receiving address for
