[The Process]
Who
am I actually dealing with?
Data Recovery Labs, Inc. - Profile
Data Recovery Labs, Inc. is a privately held
corporation, located in Clearwater, Florida. Originally
started in 1990 as a PC/Communications Service Company, DRL quickly
found an enviable niche in the Data Recovery Industry by developing
certain proprietary tools which are used in the recovery process
still today.
In 1993 it was noticed that with the development of
higher density track designs in addition to other storage
advancements (smaller, lighter, faster, and MUCH more fragile),
there was a greater call for Data Recovery Specialists. DRL began
employing technicians and engineers which have had extensive
experience in the evaluation and recovery of lost data, in
conjunction with multiple operating system skills. This experience
has allowed Data Recovery Labs to develop even more proprietary
designs and techniques to further the possibility of Data Recovery.
Our technicians are in constant contact with the latest research in
Magnetics and Storage Technology through the Institute for
Information Storage Technologies (IIST) as well as our industry
partners. We use proven
technologies and provide proven results.
"Would
you believe it's magic?"™
DRL's success rate is one of the highest in the
industry, nearly 85% of all media received is recovered
successfully. When it comes to Software related failures, such as
corruption and virus damage, almost 95% of all media received is
recovered. We understand that data loss causes expensive down
time and lost productivity... That's why our services focus on one
goal: The prompt, secure return of your valuable data.
Data Recovery Labs,
Inc. is not a subsidiary or division of any other entity. The sole
purpose of our company is to RECOVER DATA, we
place no other responsibilities on our technicians and engineers. |
Steps
to RECOVERY
| 1. Initial Call
- Start by calling
1-800-577-8360. A representative will advise you of your
options and give you a typical price range for your job. You
may also speak with an engineer who can answer more specific,
technical questions you may have. A job number will be generated,
and you will be faxed or emailed all of the necessary information to
start the Evaluation process. |
| 2.
Evaluation - Media is received and evaluated to
determine the possibility, quantity and quality of the data to be
recovered. Basic, In-Lab evaluation is done without cost to
you. RAID and multi-drive arrays may carry an evaluation fee
depending on size. |
| 3.
Recovery - After the Evaluation has been completed,
the Recovery phase begins. This often includes locating parts,
duplicate forms of media, and return media. Because of the volume
seen by Data Recovery Labs, we often have common drive parts in
stock, reducing the time needed for full recovery. Currently DRL
stocks over 3000 hard drive models. Expedited
Service (same day turnaround) is also available. |
| 4. Return
of Data - Final recovery and return shipment is the final
step. It is at this time that we determine how the media is to be
returned, billing procedures, and follow-up to ensure the secure
return of the recovered data. |
